What does "Absolute Race Season Warranty" mean exactly?
If your Oil Heater Controller fails at any point during your active race season, we repair or replace it at no charge. No fine print. Your season is defined by your schedule — from your first event to your last.
What's included in the box?
The 7" touchscreen display unit, the ESP32 controller board, a calibrated K-type thermocouple matched to your hardware, power cable, and mounting hardware. Heater elements and bands are not included — this controller works with your existing heating setup.
What does "all firmware & app updates" include?
Every software update we release for 12 months — firmware for the controller, display updates, and CrewChiefSteve.ai portal features. This is software only. Hardware revisions are covered by the 25% trade-up credit (Founding Crew) or your hardware credit balance (Founding Supporters).
How does the deposit work?
Founding Crew: 50% deposit ($3,600) to reserve your serial number. Balance due before we ship your unit. Founding Supporters: Full credit amount due at reservation.
When will units ship?
Founding Crew units are our first production priority. We'll provide build timeline updates in the private channel. Founding Supporters ship in order based on which device they select and production schedule.
What's the Off-Season Refresh?
After your season, ship us the unit. We recalibrate the thermocouple, update firmware, inspect all connectors and wiring, clean and restore the enclosure, and ship it back race-ready. First refresh is free for Founding Crew. Available annually after that for a service fee.
Can I get help with installation?
Yes. Every Founding Customer gets installation support. We'll work with you on mounting, wiring, and plumbing for your specific car. At trackside events, we can assist with installation in person.
What if I want a different device instead?
Founding Supporters can apply their hardware credit to any CrewChiefSteve device as they become available — RaceScale, ride height sensors, tire temp systems, or the Oil Heater Controller. Your credit, your choice.
